Club Constitution
1. NAME
The club will be known as TAVISTOCK TOWN FC and shall
Be
affiliated to the Devon County Football Association
The club shall also be affiliated to Tavistock A.F.C.
2.
OBJECT
The
object of the club is to provide Association Football for its
Members and such social and recreational activities as deemed
by
the General Committee
3.
OFFICERS
a] The
Officers of the club shall consist of :- CHAIRMAN, VICE-
CHAIRMAN, SECRETARY, TREASURER, MINUTE SECRETARY
and
other positions as required.
b] These
officers will serve as an EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (EC),
holding
meeting as required, these meetings being minuted.
c)
All officers will be elected at the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)
4.
GENERAL COMMITTEE
a] The
club shall be controlled by a GENERAL COMMITTEE (GC)
consisting of the OFFICERS, TEAM MANAGERS,ASSISTANT
MANAGERS COACHES and other members elected at the AGM
b] The GC
will meet once a month. The proceedings at such
meetings shall be duly recorded in a minute book.
c] At
meetings of the GC a majority of GC members shall form a
quorum.
d] At
least one committee member from each team must attend the
monthly meetings and act on behalf of other committee members
of
said team.
5. POWERS
OF THE GENERAL COMMITTEE
a] The
property and assets of the club shall be vested in the GC.
b] All
purchases of kit and equipment to be authorised by the GC.
c] All
changes of kit through the season to be authorised by the GC.
d] All
prospective team managers to be appointed by the GC
d)
The GC shall have the power to appoint such sub-committees as
are deemed
necessary and shall receive reports of said
sub-committees at its meetings.
f)
The GC shall have the power to suspend or expel any member deemed guilty
of conduct prejudicial to the good name of the club.
g)
The GC shall have the power to fill vacancies in the GC as they arise
between AGMs.
h)
The GC will also have the power to vet nominations for any position
on the
club's committee and if felt in the clubs best interest not to
accept
that nomination.
6. CHILD
PROTECTION
a)
As required by the F.A. the club will appoint an officer to undertake the
duties of Child Protection Officer who will also be responsible for the various
check on any individual within the club including arranging for Police checks.
b)
This officer will require all Team Managers to report to him any
incidents that give cause for concern that a child in his charge is being
abused.
c)
This Officer will keep an accurate record of all reported incidents and
will consider the need to involve other agencies.
7. CODE OF
CONDUCT
a)
Each manager shall be responsible for providing a copy of the Clubs Code
of Conduct to each member of their squad.
b) Each
manager must ensure that it has been read and understood
and signed
by all parties.
b)
It will be the responsibility of each manager to notify the G.C. of any
breach in
these rules that might bring the Club into disrepute.
c)
Each manager shall ensure that the players in his squad are made
aware that
these Codes of Conduct are for their benefit as well as
the Clubs.
8.
MEMBERSHIP
a]
Membership shall consist of junior, youth players both boys and
girls
along with non playing members. As the club will not have
any
players over 16 there will be no adult player
b] A
register of club members shall be kept by the SECRETARY and
TREASURER.
9.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
a] The annual
subscription to the club shall be agreed by the GC at
the AGM.
This season 15 per player unless that player is signed
on late
in the season when a proportion of the subscription shall be
agreed
by the team manager. In the event of a player due to family
or
financial difficulties being unable to afford the full subscription
the GC
can make special allowances for that person confidentially.
b] All
subscriptions to be paid by the 30th.November each year or as
agreed by
the GC.
